The Rush Academy is a player first environment that focuses its effort on building the players foundation technically, athletically, with a strong mentality and desire to achieve.  In line with the Rush player pathway, our philosophy on the Peninsula is to mandate a structured, disciplined and stable environment where commitment, personal values and principles are the priority. Our methodology develops each player’s understanding of his/her connection to their team, with and without the ball. This holistic approach to player development promotes a positive outlook and personal growth so players can take responsibility for their own development. While winning is part of the process in our club, nurturing and developing a winning and professional attitude is most important. Players are encouraged to be creative, keep the ball but read the game and take “what’s on” while balancing risk vs reward throughout the run of play. Developing technical players and possession-oriented teams with a competitive, problem-solving mindset is the goal throughout our slate of teams.
