Competitive Tryouts

Register Now

You must register for tryouts even if you cannot attend tryouts. Please notify us if you cannot attend and we can arrange a separate evaluation date to determine if we can place you on a team.

  • What To Bring

Please arrive 30-45 minutes before the tryout to confirm your registration. Players are expected to come with a pumped-up soccer ball, soccer cleats, shin guards, and proper soccer/athletic attire. All players are required to bring sufficient water to stay hydrated.

  • What To Expect

The Head Coach will select his/her team with the assistance of the Technical Director and Senior Staff of the Rush. Tryouts for current Rush players and players outside the club will take place during certain times of the year. Due to the evaluation process, tryouts are required for Competitive Rush players during tryout week. However, if a current Rush Competitive player wishes to move to another team, they are encouraged to attend tryouts in that level and age group, as it is the final step in the evaluation process. Upcoming tryout dates can be found here.

  • When Can I Join?

Any player who is interested in joining the Rush Competitive division can do so at any time. No need to wait until tryouts. Players are invited to train with a Rush team in their respective age group to determine the best developmental placement for them. Please contact us and we will connect you with the appropriate Director to help begin this process.

  • Can I Change Teams?

During any other time of the year, a Rush player may be asked to transfer or may request a transfer to another Rush team. The Rush will transfer this player, only in certain circumstances such as injuries, player/coach conflicts, consideration of the implications of the entire age group, ability level, etc. Head Coaches must communicate to their respective Director to approve any player movement within the club. This process will always be done with the player in mind first and what is best for their development.
